Magazine working

This first image is the my first draft of my media magazine, I presented this to my class members to see what they thought of it and get some improvements back. The improvements I got was that I now need to make sure that my poster is more rectangular as at the moment it appears to be quite square which makes it look less realistic and magazine like. The strap-line i need to make longer and there was discussion of making the middle subsidiary photo black and white or change it as it took the audiences attention away from the main image too much.

The second image here is my new improved magazine cover. I have made improvements after taking into consideration all of the feedback I was given by my peers. I begun by making the magazine cover more rectangular by changing the widths and the height. I put an issue number into my magazine to make the audience know that it is a popular and well successful magazine. The strap line I changed made to fit the magazine and also put some of the strap line in italics so that buzzwords stand out. I also changed the subsidiary image in the middle so that it linked with the other subsidiary images this meant I also had to change the wording of one of my cover lines to make sure that my magazine had anchorage. I also added a barcode.
However, I once again presented this to my media class and once again got more feedback and improvements. This time It was suggested that I add more red into the fonts and work on the arrangements of my magazine.

In this third magazine cover that I made I have changed the strap line once again at the top of the cover, by making it red I feel it now stands out more to the audience. I also took the italics off of the buzzwords and put it bold and put a shadow behind it instead this I feel has a more professional effect.I worked on the placement in my magazine mainly, I changed the date, issue and price, moving it from in-between my masthead to now below as it doesn't make it distract at all. I changed the placing of my title and added in another strap line below the title to give the audience some idea into what they would be reading into in the magazine.

In my final magazine cover I have made sure that I have added more into my magazine so that it is full of what would be included in the magazine itself. I have also made the date, issue and price move so that now it is written vertically against the letter 't', this makes it not distract from the reader but makes it visible so that the reader can easily spot how much the magazine is. I have added faded grey lines into my magazine as when I was doing some more research I discovered that most 'Empire' film magazine covers are broken up by lines separating the cover lines.

I feel that now after finishing my final magazine I have completed and incorporated all of these points-
